Olivia is frightened of monsters, shadows, of the dark, of fog… and also of getting lost in the crowd.
Today’s a big day – she’s going to the fair!
Her favourite thing there is the carousel, and especially its aeroplane which rises right up. But she is too afraid to climb: and what if it stopped on the other side from her parents and she couldn’t find them anymore?
When she finally decides, Olivia embarks on a great journey, much farther than she could have believed. The furthest reaches of her imagination.
